- Van Halen is pissed that McCain used their song without asking. Yup, the Senator used “Right Now” for his big entrance in Ohio but the band wants everyone to know that they don’t approve. Van Halen told TMZ, “Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given.” Political Burn!
- David Duchovney, star of Showtime’s Californication, checked himself into rehab for sex addiction. “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction,” he said in a statement. “I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.” Because of his character on Californication, there’s been speculation that he’s pulling an Eva Mendes (researching his role) but I don’t know. I hope he gets the help he needs, if he needs it.
- Jennifer Aniston will appear on 30 Rock this fall. Yay! It’s her first appearance on an NBC sitcom since Friends ended in 2004. She picked a winner. That show is freakin’ hilarious! If Tracy Morgan crosses paths with me, I might hug him. He’ll probably pepper-spray me. “She is shooting now,” a source told E! Online. “We are not giving any specifics on her character.” The new season of 30 Rock premiers on October 30. Jennifer is said to be filming her episode right now so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what’s up with what’s up.
- Speaking of Jen Aniston, our boy Tim Gunn criticized her fashion yesterday. It seems he’s on a roll. “Sometimes I think she has ‘desperate character’ written on her,” Tim said of Jen’s style. He really got blunt when asked about Cindy McCain. After praising Michelle Obama’s fashion sense, he said of Senator McCain’s wife, “Cindy, on the other hand — with her button-down suits and blouses — looks like she’s duct-taped. Her fashion is a metaphor for her personality.” Fashion Burn! Whoa, Tim Gunn!
