Wow, this one really pains me to write. I’ve always “liked” Kate Hudson, as much as you can like someone you’ve never met before. Perhaps I was smitten by the cool combo of her character from Almost Famous and the fact that she was married to the lead singer of one of my favorite bands from back in the day (The Black Crowes).
Plus, let’s face it, she’s adorable and the chic knows how to dress. If I could pick a celebrity closet to raid, it would be hers for sure. But, the blogs are all blowing up about her allegedly being rude to everyone and freaking out this past weekend at a party for Rachel Zoe in NYC. This isn’t the first incident I’ve read about where she seemed like an obnoxious biatch. Here’s what happened, according to the New York Post. Read it and you can judge for yourself:
KATE Hudson shocked partiers Thursday night with her “nasty and rude” demeanor. Hudson arrived at the Gramercy Park Hotel for the Bravo premiere party for Rachel Zoe’s new show, “The Rachel Zoe Project,” in “an absolutely foul mood,” our spy said. “She was almost indignant waiting for a friend to arrive.” When the friend came, Hudson and pal got in an elevator headed to the rooftop party, but the actress became incensed when there were too many people around her. “In the elevator she kept screeching, ‘I’m freaking out! It’s too much!’ while waving her arms around.” When she arrived at the roof, Hudson shunned the press line, claiming, “I don’t do that,” before going into a corner and demanding a bodyguard. She perked up when Kevin Connolly came over and flirted with her, before she left for the Rose Bar. A rep for Hudson said, “This is all ridiculous and completely untrue. Kate did go to Rachel’s party to celebrate her new show, had a great time and left with the group of girlfriends she came with.”
If you’re gonna lose it and have a diva-style hissy fit, an elevator probably isn’t the best place to do it. Do you think she was on drugs? Or maybe she should be? I know her rep denied it even happened but that’s just standard procedure right? I mean, you can’t freak out on a packed elevator and expect that no one will find out about it. So, I say, Kate, stick to the hipee image and leave the drama for Mariah. Take a couple of deep breaths. Pranayama it up, girl! Do some yoga, it’ll match all your cool scarves. Don’t act like a crazed diva, because when you do, you wind up the Celebri-Dumbass of the Week! Yikes!
