Celeb Roundup: The Natives are Restless

September 13th, 2008 Written by: Kendra· 1 Comment

  • Pam Anderson clearly states her opinion of Sarah Palin.  When Pam was asked what she thought of the photo of Governor Palin, an avid hunter, with an animal pelt (a bear) draped over a couch behind her,  Pamela eloquently said, “I can’t stand her.  She can suck it!” Click here to see the video.  Ha, Pam Anderson.  Ha ha.
  • Kanye West was arrested in, where else, the airport.  That is, of course, the place to get busted if you’re a celebrity.  But, no Kanye wasn’t packing heat or hiding illegal drugs.  He allegedly attacked a photographer who was trying to get a shot of him.  Actually, I don’t even need to say “allegedly” because TMZ got it all on tape.  Dude.  When good ole’ Kanye saw the TMZ guy filming, he rushed at him and yelled, “Gimme that f**king tape!”  Whoa.  Scary chipmunk coming at ya!

  • Gina Gershon spoofs that one Alaskan chic.  Yep, see Gina Gershon, as Governor Sarah Palin, covering the tough issues like global warming and banning books.  From FunnyorDie, the peeps that brought you that Paris for President ad, the video is pretty funny.  “Like so many of you, I went to five colleges in six years to get my journalism degree,” says Gershon. “Barack Obama only went to one.”  Go Gina! Click here to see it.
  • Keira Knightly is mad enough to reproduce.  Yes, she is sick of being called “too skinny” and she’s not going to take it anymore!  When she spoke to Canadian National Post, she said, “That’s a good reason to have a kid,” she said. “They won’t say I’m anorexic anymore. Shit, I’ve got to have a child. I can’t win. One week I’m anorexic and now my curves are too big. I mean really? It’s a joke. Am I too tall, too short? Well I’m sorry I’m me. It’s so predictable to be asked about it, but to me it’s not appropriate.” That’ll get ‘em, Keira!  Get pregnant!  Or, you could just eat something.  What?  I’m just saying.
  • America Ferrera disses The Hills and Gossip Girl.  In the October issue of Seventeen, America talks about female relationships.  “Like, if you’re watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act – you go to school, and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other,” she says.  “I mean, I love Blake, she’s a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean.”  I wonder what Blake thinks about this statement.  I mean, America has a tiny point but did she have to go hating on her “wonderful friend’s” show?  Isn’t that backstabbing?  If my friend was on the suckiest show on TV, I’d be telling everyone it was my favorite.  Talk about female relationships and being mean.  Grrr!
